PRESS RELEASE 3

HIGH COURT TELLS CENTRE TO FILE REPORT ON GOOGLE AND FACEBOOK.

In recent trends, words like Google and Facebook are being liberally used by the youth. Google being the most used internet search engine and a multi-giant corporation which includes Gmail and YouTube has contributed a lot to the nation.  Google and Facebook are popular social networking websites among the current generation.
In today’s scenario, social networks like Facebook have become an addiction among almost all age groups. Like each and every aspect has positive and negative parts, likewise social networks like Facebook has both positive and negative aspects on its user.
In recent times, all social networking sites consist of adulterated obscene material not suitable for any users. At the same time our honourable education minister Mr. Kapil Sibal showed concern about obscene words or materials which are being used against many prominent people of our nation. According to him, India is a land of its own culture and diversity however, social networking sites are making us follow western trends- just like the phrase “monkey see monkey do”. But being youngistanis, we think there should be a proper platform to express our views and opinions. Even to promote awareness about news and events that happen around us.
Since India is a democratic nation, each and every common comrade has the right to express his opinion in any way. So we do not think that social networking sites like Google and Facebook should be banned.
And last but not the least, we would like to end by saying that changes should happen among individuals and their thought, and not in the rules and regulations which are implemented on us. Change should bring positive aspects in rules and not restrict the freedom of people through new media like Google and Facebook.
