“YOUR SECURITY WE SECURE”
The Southern railway is marching towards
development and up gradation of security at railway stations for the public.
The implications of better security measures will be completed within six
months. To start with, security will be strengthened at major railway junctions
and then carried forward to minor stations of cities in the southern region of
India. To reduce visitation of invaders or theft, terrorism and crime, the
measures taken to strengthen security are:
Installation
of CCTV cameras at railway stations (near the doors, platforms, etc.)
Istallation
of laser security scanners to identify carriers of illegal materials.
Systemized
counters at railway station for check-in and check-out.
Displaying
Id-cards of passengers at the station and boarders.
