Every morning she wakes up,
with a ray of sunlight.
Bringing a beam of sunlight
and a beep of cellphone
Bringing a sweet message of a dearest friend
and a smile on her face.

She lives in a city frustrated but still
poses to be fine.....
Filled with an urge to do nothing
but to work on a lifeless machine
accustomed to the fake smiles around her

All these years she forgot,
to hear to the wind & to feel the moon
to read, to write & to paint
to sing, to dance & even to smile

The books by Shakespeare
and the poems by Wordsworth,
Even her own paintings.....lay,
in the corner of her house finding place,
no more in her life...

She lives in a city frustrated but still
poses to be fine,
with a portrait smile....
