A SHATTERED DREAM

A heart broke,

By a sad word “goodbye”

It’s hard to believe

That one work can make me cry.

Why did he come into my life?

I never asked him to do so,

It’s all my fate, gods wish

Someone who changed my life forever,

Someone whom  I can never forget,

Someone whom I can’t even blame,

Someone very different,

Entered my life, very casually,

And left just as the same.

I was the spectator,

Watching everything, from a distance,

Watching my own life

Moving away from me.

Couldn’t help, couldn’t stop

And say

“hey! That’s my life.”

Someone who entered my life, without my knowledge.

And walked away while I was still dreaming.

He was a stranger to  me, and will be so forever,

But this heart is not ready to accept,

The absence of that stranger.

Someone who played  with my feelings,

Never quite understood me.

Trust , is like a precious time,

Once lost, can never be regained,

And I could never trust anyone again.

This is me,

A broken angel,

A crushed heart,

A cry for love,

A Shattered Dream.
