THE AMERICAN DREAM

The battlefield was stained with blood,
The gunshot echoes were heard from afar,
The bullets fired incessantly,
For Britain and America were at war.

The great battle traces itself,
Right back t the American revolution,
It ended with independebce,
An the framing of the American constitution.
The epic battle has its roots,
Way back in the fifteenth century,
When Britain laid eyes upon America,
To capture a new colony.

Straight across the Atlantic sailed,
A fleet of thousand ships or more,
The battle that ensued,
Was marked with blood, violence an gore.

After a hard fought battle with America,
The Union Jack flew high,
But, the British didn’t stop there,
For they colonised Australia and the Stanley Isle!

Back in America,
The British exercised political domination,
They carried out a tax enforcement,
Followed by a law system implementation.

Turmoil, however, was ever-present,
The situation steaming like frying bacon,
For America had found a new leader,
His name was George Washington.

He led America into battle,
A battle that would last acentury,
It culminate into a historic event,
Now knowns as the Boston Tea Party.

America paid tribute,
To the thousands of soldiers it lost,
Their corpses covered the battlefield,
Resembling a layer of ice and frost.

America now faced happier times,
Its constitution was implemented in May,
George Washington stepped into office,
To lead the nation now known as the U.S.A.!
