The moment I think of
the term ‘dream’, the bestselling book “The Alchemist” written by Paulo Coelho
comes to my mind. The boy in the story dreams about finding the gold but in
order to reach the treasure, he just had to follow his dreams [read: instincts]
though the treasure was in the same place where the boy had begun his journey.
If only the boy had ignored his instincts and if only he had refused to follow
his dream, would he have been able to see those beautiful places, the pyramids,
save people and most of all the finding of his love in the place near the
desserts. The whole story wouldn’t have been interesting at all if the boy
wedged to his daily routine and avoided the journey, isn’t it? So, dreams have
to be seen because they are our only source to imagine ourselves in the way we
want and in that position which we desire.
I feel dreams and goals
are inter-linked. If we dream of attaining something then that must become our
goal. Dreaming big enhances our self-morale and further prompts us to strive
hard to make our dreams come true. Nothing in this world can be achieved without
working hard; and to convert dreams into reality, we must be
1.
Dedicated
in pursuing our steps,
2.
Adhered
to our disciplinary principles,
3.
Strict
in our morals and ethical values,
4.
Try
never to abdicate from our paths.
This simple theory can
be modified further with an example. When we plant a sapling, we water it daily
and we make sure the soil for the sapling’s growth has the right minerals in
it; we nurture it and gradually see the sapling spurting out and growing into a
huge tree [read: when the sapling is given thorough nourishment]. Similarly, when
our dreams are chased dynamically and with thorough dedication, then we stand to
attain what we had dreamt of or rather even we would have attained it in a
short period.
There is the taste of success when we not only dream
big but also convert these dreams into our goals to be achieved. As long as we
live, we must learn how to live; and a life with no dreams and aspirations is
as good as dead. We must become the significant someone in our life or else we
add no meaning to the precious gift – ‘life’. The path to success is simple but
no doubt about one thing, that is, we just have to travel around on nameless
roads [read: meaning unknown and not frequently used by all, except by the
achievers]. Converting dreams to reality by making it our prime goal and then
adapting it as it is, is the soul of our life We all must have dreams and
chasing it to make it come true should be our prime motto in order to make our
life truly living.
